Rental Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Age: Renters must be at least 21 years old. Renters aged 21-24 may be subject to a "young renter fee" and may have vehicle restrictions.
  • Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license in the renter's name must be presented. International renters may need an International Driving Permit (IDP) along with their home country’s license.
  • Credit/Debit Card: A valid credit or debit card in the renter's name is required for the deposit and payment. The amount held on the card may vary based on the vehicle type and rental location.

2. Rental Period:

  • Rental Duration: The rental period is measured in 24-hour increments. Late returns may incur additional charges, including hourly rates or a full extra day's charge.
  • Early Returns: Abo Ali Auto may charge an early return fee if the vehicle is returned before the scheduled date.
  • Extensions: If you need to extend the rental period, you must contact Abo Ali Auto to avoid late fees or penalties.

3. Vehicle Condition and Usage:

  • Inspection: The vehicle’s condition should be inspected by both the renter and Abo Ali Auto before leaving the lot. Any pre-existing damage should be noted on the rental agreement.
  • Return Condition: The vehicle must be returned in the same condition as when rented, excluding normal wear and tear. Excessive dirt or smoke odors may incur cleaning fees.
  • Mileage: Most rentals come with unlimited mileage, but some may have mileage restrictions. Exceeding the allowed mileage may result in additional fees.
  • Fuel: The vehicle should be returned with the same amount of fuel as when it was rented. If not, refueling charges will apply, often at a higher rate than local gas stations.

4. Additional Drivers:

  • Authorized Drivers: Only the renter and any additional drivers listed on the rental agreement are authorized to drive the vehicle. Unauthorized drivers are not covered under the rental agreement’s insurance and may void any protection or coverage.

5. Insurance and Protection Products:

  • Liability Insurance: Liability coverage is typically included but may only cover the minimum required by law. Additional coverage can be purchased.
  • Collision Damage Waiver (CDW/LDW): This optional coverage waives your financial responsibility for damage to or loss of the rental vehicle. It is not insurance but a waiver of the right to collect from the renter.
  • Personal Accident Insurance (PAI): Covers medical expenses and accidental death benefits for the renter and passengers.
  • Personal Effects Coverage (PEC): Provides coverage for personal belongings in the vehicle.
  • Roadside Assistance: May be included or available as an optional service, covering towing, flat tires, lockouts, etc.

6. Restrictions:

  • Geographic Restrictions: Some rentals may have geographic restrictions, prohibiting travel to certain regions or countries. Violating these restrictions can void insurance coverage and result in penalties.
  • Use Restrictions: The vehicle must not be used for illegal purposes, to tow other vehicles, in races, or in hazardous conditions.

7. Payment Terms:

  • Payment Method: The rental cost is typically charged at the start of the rental period. Additional charges (e.g., for damage, late return, refueling) will be billed at the end of the rental.
  • Deposit: A deposit or hold is placed on the renter’s credit/debit card. This amount is released when the vehicle is returned in good condition.
  • Additional Fees: Additional fees may apply for extras like GPS, child seats, tolls, or other services.
  • Extending: If you wish to extend the rental period, you must notify Abo Ali Auto and receive approval. Payment for the extension must be made before the original reservation ends. A $200 late fee will be charged if payment is delayed more than three days after the original reservation ends.

8. Cancellations and No-Shows:

  • Cancellation Policy: Some reservations can be canceled without penalty, while others may incur fees. Prepaid rentals may have stricter cancellation policies.
  • No-Show Policy: If you do not pick up the vehicle at the scheduled time and do not cancel in advance, a no-show fee may be charged.

9. Dispute Resolution:

  • Arbitration: Some agreements may include an arbitration clause requiring disputes to be resolved through arbitration rather than in court.
  • Governing Law: The rental agreement will specify which jurisdiction's laws apply.

10. Modification of Terms:

  • Changes: Abo Ali Auto reserves the right to modify terms and conditions at any time. The terms at the time of rental will apply.
